Congratulations - UnAustralian, and Very Mean

Someone competing for the TightWad Award, which I thought I had firmly in my grasp and wasn't letting go of any time soon, is whoever's in charge of the payroll (or lack of it) at The Mean Fiddler. And though it's with characteristic grudgingness, I must admit they've done a great job of their tightfistedness, with great flair.

According to that bastion of well-balanced unbiased news-reporting, The Daily Telegraph, The Mean Fiddler not only charged patrons a surcharge for meals, but they did so on the touchy-feely Aussie Day of ANZAC Day, and also refused to pay staff extra for public holidays while charging patrons more.

Then they boasted about the great gaps between rates of pay on their website (details which have suddenly been removed).
